Published: Aug. 16, 2024, 5:00 a.m.COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s men’s and women’s hockey teams will play in The Frozen Confines in January of 2025, the Big Ten and Chicago Cubs announced on Thursday.
The series will feature three Big Ten men’s games, and a Western Collegiate Hockey Association game on the weekend of Jan. 3 and 4. The men’s team will play Michigan on Jan. 3, while the women’s team will play Wisconsin on Jan. 4. All games will be broadcasted on Big Ten Network. For the women’s team, it will be the second of a weekend series. The first game will be played two days prior in Madison, Wisconsin.
The game will be the fifth outdoor game for the Buckeye men in the modern era, per a release from the university. Ohio State has previously played at Lambeau Field, Progressive Field, Huntington Bank Stadium and the Cleveland Browns Stadium.Tickets go on sale on Friday, Aug. 30 at 11 a.m. ET.ESPN’s Top 100 list for the best players headed into the 2024 season came out on Thursday morning.
