when he got a call about the ambulance carrying a baby boy named Bryson. The storm had made the roads dangerous with deep snow and ice, making it hard for the ambulance to get through.after the ambulance team said they might not make it in time to get the baby the care he needed.to clear a path. He kept a steady speed that the ambulance could follow safely. What normally would have been about a 15-minute drive took nearly 30 minutes because of the weather. “I got a phone call and they said ‘we’ve got a sick baby and we need to get there, we’re losing our window of time,’”Estes has worked for ODOT for more than seven years, but he said he has never done anything like this before.
