WALBRIDGE, Ohio — A railroad worker with CSX was killed early Sunday morning when he was struck by a train while working in a railyard in Northwest Ohio, reports say.
the worker killed is Frederick Anderson, 56, of Waterville, a small town located just southwest of Toledo.The Transportation Communications Unionsaying Anderson was a carman for CSX. The statement says it’s believed Anderson’s death involved a remote-controlled locomotive. The statement calls for a “full-scale review” of the use of remote-control locomotives, saying it’s “long overdue.”
CSX released a statement to WTVG saying the company “mourns the loss of this employee and our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
