The method is not currently used in Ohio, but at least two cities in Northeast Ohio are actively exploring it.would ban ranked-choice voting outright for statewide elections. For cities and local governments, it would not impose a direct ban, but any local municipality that uses the method would lose state funding.The bill now moves to the Senate, where lawmakers who previously passed an earlier version must approve changes made by the House before it can go to the governor’s desk.
