House Bill 56, signed into law by Governor Mike DeWine, expands the definition of street racing and increases penalties for both drivers and spectators.The video shows cars performing donuts and burnouts near Lee and Miles, with onlookers crowding the streets and even jumping on police cruisers. Similar scenes have been reported across the state, with drivers and crowds taking over intersections and disrupting traffic.
The new law broadens the definition of street racing to include activities like donuts, burnouts, and wheelies on public roads. Crucially, it also targets spectators.
