‘Beast’ as Makhawana is known in football circles, is understood to have penned a three-year deal with the first team, following in the footsteps of Wandile Duba, Mduduzi Shabalala and Samkelo Zwane who have all been promoted from the club’s development structures. He can play both as a striker where he got three goals for the national u17 team in Algeria recently, or as a defensive midfielder where he has been plying his trade for Chiefs' junior sides.
