BREAKING! One of Manchester United's African stars has now officially departed the club for the season. SLInt MORE:
With William Saliba returning to Arsenal following his short-term stint with Marseille in the 2021/22 campaign, the French giants have effectively replaced the 21-year-old with the Ivorian.
Bailly, who has dropped down the pecking order at United in the past couple of years, has previously expressed his desire to play regular first-team football again, having made only 70 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils since he joined from Villarreal in 2016, although a number of injuries did not help.
He becomes Marseille's fourth loan acquisition of the window, with the Ligue 1 club having also brought in Nuno Tavares, Issa Kabore and Ruben Blanco on temporary deals for the season.
