Former Wales and Real Madrid star Bale retired from football in January 2023.
Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney revealed the “offer is still on the table” to Gareth Bale as he issued his latest plea to lure the former Wales star out of retirement to play for the newly-promoted League One side.
Rob McElhenney taking part in the ceremonial first pitch before game two of the MLB London Series at the London Stadium Speaking at London Stadium on Sunday afternoon, where he threw the first pitch as his beloved Philadelphia Phillies were playing the second of their two-game series with the New York Mets, McElhenney was asked if there were any players in particular who could fit the bill.
McElhenney said: “There’s a very good chance . We’re talking to Arthur actively right now, we know he wants to come back to Wrexham and we definitely want him, so it’s just about working out the right deal that works for everybody.”While Reynolds and McElhenney have previously outlined plans to develop the club’s SToK Racecourse home in to a stadium with up to 55,000 seats, the latter was more pragmatic about longer-term ambitions to progress higher up the pyramid.
