Police said the deputy was transported to the hospital in good condition and possibly suffered a broken leg.
Authorities are investigating after an off-duty Harris County Sheriff's Office deputy was involved in a motorcycle crash in southwest Houston Saturday. At about 1:38 p.m., the Houston Police Department said it responded to the incident involving a motorcycle and vehicle at 16899 Park Manor Street near FM 2234.
HPD said the off-duty deputy was riding his motorcycle when he hit a black Chevrolet Tahoe. The deputy's motorcycle is marked in county colorings, but it's a personal bike, according to HPD. The Tahoe allegedly tried to turn into a convenience store but went on the wrong road when the crash happened. The deputy was transported in good condition and possibly suffered a broken leg, HPD said. The driver of the Tahoe was not injured.
An ABC13 crew at the scene captured the deputy's motorcycle on its side and the black Tahoe with damage to its front bumper.
