A member of the Philippine National Police-Special Action Force arrested a 41-year-old man for indiscriminate firing in Barangay San Luis, Cauayan City, Isabela on New Year’s Day.

Police said an intoxicated Danilo Grandeza fired his caliber .45 handgun, prompting Patrolman Jomar Vergara disarm the suspect and take him into custody.Grandeza was charged with alarm and scandal and violation of Republic Act 10591 at the Cauayan City Prosecutor’s Office. Vergara, a member of the PNP-SAF assigned to the 151st Special Action Company, Force Support Battalion, Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City, was on a New Year’s break when the incident happened.
