A study of the UK's online media habits finds women are more likely to be affected by online abuse.

Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger accounted for a combined average of 42 minutes of internet use per day.Overall, people in the UK are spending slightly more time online now than they didOf the people in the survey group who had experienced trolling, 60% of the women said they had been affected by it, compared with 25% of the men.

Mixed-ethnic and black internet users were most likely to be exposed to potential harm online, with nearly 75% saying they had encountered it in the past month.GamingActivision Blizzard's Candy Crush Saga remains the UK's top-reaching mobile gaming app It found that the mobile game with the most reach was still the 2012 title, Candy Crush Saga, which had 2.5 million UK players in February 2022.Sony's PlayStation Plus was the most popular gaming subscription service, with 3.2 million paying subscribers.

There were five million UK TikTok users aged 15-24 in February 2022, spending 56 minutes per day on the site on averageThe most common forms of "online harm" are scams, phishing and fraud
