Let’s start with the MA63. This issue has not been raised for over 50 years. It only came about after the 2018 general election when Dato Najib could not form the Federal Government, because for the first time, members of Parliament from Malaya could not form a simple majority from the 111 seats.

That court win and the PN Government’s decision not to challenge it for receiving Sarawak’s support are what forced Petronas to humbly accept that it can no longer be business as usual.
