The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) stressed work zone safety as the I-90 Major Rehab project continues.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Ohio Department of Transportation and the Ohio State Highway Patrol stressed work zone safety as the Lt. Tim Hoffman with OSHP said there has been a 40% increase in construction zone accidents in Cuyahoga County from May 2025 to May 2026.
The West 140th Street entrance ramp to I-90 eastbound will close for about 60 days for ramp reconstruction. The detour will use the newly constructed Warren Road ramp, which will be opened before the West 140th Street ramp closes, according to ODOT.
