Officials with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced they have 997 new projects planned for this construction season.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Officials with the Ohio Department of Transportation announced they have 997 new projects planned for this construction season.“As a state that makes and moves things, we must have a safe transportation system that is well maintained,” said Governor Mike DeWine.

“As they do each year, our ODOT teams will be making enhancements to Ohio’s roadways to better protect everyone traveling on them.” Officials added Ohio continues to spend more per capita than any other state when it comes to roadway safety.I-90 between E. 9th and Carnegie Ave. The $328 million project includes replacing the pavement and five bridges. Estimated completion summer 2032. I-90 between Hillard and West Boulevards. The $173 million project began in 2025 and will continue through fall 2028 rebuilding the pavement in this corridor.U.S. 6 Connectivity Corridor. The $27 million project will increase the efficiency and operation of the U.S. 6 corridor from Cedar Point Drive through the State Route 2 interchange with Rye Beach Road. Work is expected to be completed by the spring of 2029.I-90 between the Ohio Turnpike and SR 611. The $115.8 million major reconstruction project includes complete pavement replacement and adding one lane in each direction. Work began in spring 2025 and is expected to be complete summer 2028.I-680 between SR 193 and South Ave. The $59.5 million project includes replacing the pavement. Work began this spring and is estimated to be completed in October 2027.SR 8 hi-level bridge replacement. The $157.6 million project includes replacement of the SR 8 hi-level bridge over the Cuyahoga River Valley with two new structures and minor re-alignment of SR 8 and the addition of a new auxiliary lane in each direction of SR 8 between Glenwood Ave. and Perkins St. Estimated completion is set for the summer of 2028. I-77 between Ghent and Everett Roads. The $52 million project began in the spring of 2025 and is widening I-77 from two to three lanes in each direction and work on 12 bridges.
