This translates to high winds for large areas of the state. Anchorage and southcentral will also get some strong north winds.
In fact, Thompson pass could see winds gusting 55 to 65 mph. This high wind scenario will last through Saturday.And snow is also expected to fall along the Haines and Klondike highway with accumulations of 2-6 inches.
