The Alabama House of Representatives passed HB 385, also known as the Supplying Minors Bill, which makes it a crime to distribute obscene content to children in schools or public libraries.
”It just keeps it clean. It just keeps, you know, anything that’s not supposed to be in the minds of young kids,” explained state Rep. Reed Ingram, R-Dist. 75. “It’s a good bill.”
England, who voted against HB 385, argues the bill is nothing more than a solution searching for a problem. After the vote, Rep. England and Rep. David Faulkner, R-Dist. 46, continued their debate on the House floor. England says the bill aims to satisfy an agenda.
