Introduced as a tough Inquisitor with a personal vendetta for Obi-Wan, it was revealed that Reva was once a Jedi youngling. In a dark twist, Kenobi deduced that Reva witnessed Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Temple massacre, and she admitted that she witnessed him slaughter her only family.
What Reva didn't realize was how quickly she was following the same path Vader did. Though her intention was only to avenge her fellow younglings, Reva had to turn to the dark side in doing so. Her ruse was short-lived, however, as Vader saw through the charade from the start and detected that she would attempt to betray him. When Obi-Wan Kenobi settled Reva's portion of the story, she was left pondering if she had become Darth Vader.
Such a direct name parallel reflects how similar Reva is to Vader, but also how he overshadows her. As the Grand Inquisitor told Reva, she was viewed as the least of them. Her shortened name is another clue that she's a lesser version of Vader, doomed to come up short against him in any effort to seek vengeance.
Reva And Vader Are Meant To Be The Same AND Opposite Though the parallel is evident, Reva and Vader are just as much supposed to be opposites as they are mirror images of each other. They're so intrinsically tied through the events of Order 66, with Vader inadvertently making Reva what she became. Vader shares a similar line of thought to Obi-Wan, blaming his former master for the abomination of a suit he requires to survive.
