Obama will take part in a joint event to help Mandela Barnes unseat Sen. Ron Johnson and Gov. Tony Evers fend off challenger Tim Michels during his Oct. 29 trip to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, according to a report from NBC News.In 2008 and 2012, Obama won the state of Wisconsin en route to winning the presidency both times. The state voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020.
RealClearPolitics has rated both races as"toss ups," with Evers tied with Michels in the polling average and Johnson leading Barnes by 2.8 percentage points in the same average.The Washington Examiner has reached out to the Barnes and Evers campaigns for comment.
