Two men were shot Sunday afternoon near an East Oakland intersection and one was in critical condition, authorities said.
The shooting happened about 1:40 p.m. Sunday in the area of East 18th Street and Rosedale Avenue, a mainly residential area.
A 31-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the neck, authorities said. He was undergoing surgery later Sunday at a hospital and was listed in critical condition.Police have not said if the men knew each other. Police were trying to determine if the men were shot by someone in a passing vehicle or by someone on the street.A motive for the shooting is under investigation. No arrests have been announced.
