To prevent robberies, police advised that people keep their car doors locked and windows rolled up and to call the police immediately if they're in a collision. The department added that if you believe you're being followed by another vehicle, you can drive to a police station or a well-lit, busy area and call the police., the city has seen an increase in carjackings over the past five years: 536 carjackings last year, compared with 529 in 2021 and 303 in 2020.
