A suspect ran up to the victim’s Chrysler and opened fire at it, killing the 46-year-old man in front of his wife, authorities said.
OAKLAND — Police here have identified a 46-year-old man who was shot and killed outside of a gas station, in front of his wife.by an unknown assailant at around 8:15 p.m. July 27, on the 9800 block of Edes Avenue, near a 76 Gas station in East Oakland.
Police have not announced any arrests, nor publicly revealed a suspected motive. They say, though, that Stevenson appeared to be targeted. Stevenson had just purchased something at the convenience store and was walking back to his Chrysler 300 when at least one person pulled alongside him in another car and opened fire, authorities said. Police impounded the Chrysler after arriving at the scene.
