Caroline and Sean Sorenson from Oakland, California, recently completed the challenging Cumbria Way trail in England's picturesque Lake District.

Oakland residents Caroline and Sean Sorenson walked the Cumbria Way in England ’s Lake District in July. It is 95 miles, mostly through the Lake District , we walked through farmland, mountains, valleys, moors and near many fabulous lakes. We used, who booked all of our B&Bs and transported our luggage. The Lake District is a very popular destination in the summer, so it’s much easier to have a travel company book the accommodation for you.

Definitely take at least one rest day to enjoy the small towns you pass through — and a raincoat is essential! We planned one rest day and ended up taking another one, so that we could ride on the
