The Oakland Ballers are partnering with Fan Controlled Sports to provide their fans with an opportunity to call the shots on Aug. 31 at Raimondi Park
Oakland Ballers’ Dondrei Hubbard connects a two-run home run against the Yolo High Wheelers in the first inning of their inaugural home game at Raimnodi Park in Oakland, Calif., on June 4, 2024. Between “MLB: The Show” and “Out of the Park Baseball,” fans of America’s pastime have several outlets that allow them to play the role of big-league manager or general manager. These simulations are, of course, virtual — outside the boundaries of reality.
The B’s, in conjunction with the Pioneer Baseball League and KPIX, announced on Monday that they will be partnering with Fan Controlled Sports to produce a “first of its kind interactive experience” when the team takes on the Idaho Falls Chukars at Raimondi Park on Aug. 31, one that will give fans a voice in decisions typically reserved for managers and front office.
“The Ballers were a perfect choice when we were looking for a baseball team that understands the value of empowering and engaging with fans,” said Andy Dolich, COO of Fan Controlled Sports, in a statement. “We’re excited to be bringing the Fan Controlled Sports experience to the game of baseball and look forward to seeing Bay Area fans and beyond have fun and enjoy the game of baseball in a revolutionary way.
