Tuesday is one of the most curious days in terms of why it’s called what it’s called. Some days are more obvious than others. Monday is named after the moon. Sunday after the sun. Saturday is named after Saturn—one of the most important gods in ancient Rome. Thursday after Thor, who is not just a Marvel superhero. Wednesday is named for Odin, another infamous Norse deity. Friday continues the Norse tradition, named for Freya.
Let’s solve today’s, shall we?Before we list all the words, I’ll tell you today’s Spangram and show you where that is on the grid.I actually thought of UMBRELLA instantly when I saw the theme today, but weirdly enough didn’t see the word on the grid right away. I found HOOD first and then UMBRELLA. I filled in the rest of the top of the grid before snagging the spangram. After that, it wasn’t hard though I admit that GAITERS through me for a loop.
