NYPD: Police are investigating how a Bronx boy, 5, died in his home
A 5-year-old boy died Sunday morning in the Bronx after police found him unconscious and unresponsive in his home, officials said.
Police officers were called to an apartment on Bassford Avenue and East 183rd Street in Tremont at around 3:30 a.m., and found 5-year-old Deneil Timberlake showing signs of distress.Police said he showed no visible trauma and could not immediately say who called 911, or whether his parents were home at the time.Brittany Kriegstein covers all breaking news around New York City, with a focus on crime and gun violence.
