It happened after officers responded to an argument involving a gun, CBS2's Natalie Duddridge reported Sunday.
Dozens of evidence markers were scattered across the intersection of Nagle Avenue and Dyckman Street. According to the NYPD, a lieutenant and three uniformed officers with the neighborhood safety team were driving in an unmarked car when they spotted a man waving a gun toward a group of people at around 3 a.m.
"They observe a dispute. As they get closer to the dispute, they observe a male with a gun in his hand, fighting in the crowd," said NYPD Chief of Patrol Jeffrey Maddrey. "They yell repeated commands, and then at some point officers discharged their weapons," said Maddrey.
