The actor, who played Theo Sipowicz on “NYPD Blue,” was reportedly found dead at a homeless shelter in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
Majors starred on the hit true crime series from 1999 to 2004.“Austin took great joy and pride in his acting career. He was an active Eagle Scout and graduated Salutatorian in High School. It further detailed that “Austin’s younger sister, Kali, says her fondest memories with Austin were growing up on set with him, volunteering at events with ‘Kids With a Cause,’ and backpacking together.” His family concluded their statement by describing him as “the kind of son, brother, grandson, and nephew that made us proud and we will miss him deeply forever.”Majors first rose to fame for his role on the true crime show from 1999 to 2004, which scored him the 2002 Young Artists Award for Best Performance in a Television Series.Majors family described him as a “loving, artistic, brilliant, and kind human being.
