Uber passenger shocks driver with Taser, steals cash in NYC: NYPD
The robbery unfolded after the 55-year-old driver picked up the fare around 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 13 at East 102nd Street and 1st Avenue on the Upper East side, cops said.Once at her destination, she said, “Look at me,” before pulling a Taser out of a white bag and shocking him multiple times in the right shoulder, police said.
When the driver said he was going to call the police, the woman responded, “You can call whoever you want,” according to police. The crook then removed the victim’s wallet from the center console and fled east on West 9th Street. The crook got away with the victim’s wallet containing $375 cash, credit cards and personal ID, cops said.
