New York City will begin housing dozens of migrants in Brooklyn’s popular, family-friendly McCarren Park Play Center as soon as this weekend, officials announced Thursday.
, located on the border of hipster neighborhoods Williamsburg and Greenpoint, Mayor Eric Adams notified local lawmakers Wednesday night.
The pols, however, insisted that “public access to the pool and fitness center will not be impacted” and that “additional security will be in place to ensure everyone’s safety.”The announcement comes just days after Adams ominously warned that the Big Apple’s spiraling migrant crisis is coming “to a neighborhood near you.” for migrant housing.
