The mayor during an appearance on MSNBC was asked about Trump's proposed mass deportations plan and what stance New York City will take on it. Mayor Adams expressed interest in learning the details of such a plan. Mayor Adams on Tuesday said he would “love to” meet with Homan about resolving the city’s illegal immigration problems. He had repeatedly voiced concern over the city’s ability to accommodate migrants, claiming last year the additional expenses presented by these arrivals would “destroy” the city.
Invoking the effects of "cancel culture" on politics, Mayor Adams dared his supporters to retaliate against him for such a meeting.Homan on Monday acknowledged the mayor’s comments in an appearance on Fox News.
