The drama at City Hall continued over the weekend as the chief counsel for NYC suddenly announced her resignation.
Lisa Zornberg was appointed chief counsel for New York City just over a year ago, in July 2023, by Mayor Eric Adams "I am deeply grateful to Mayor Adams for giving me the opportunity to serve the city, and I strongly support the work he has done and continues to do for New Yorkers," Zornberg said in a statement."We appreciate all the work Lisa has done for our administration and, more importantly, the city over the past 13 months," Adams said.

As a former member of law enforcement, the mayor has repeatedly made clear that all members of the team need to follow the law."
