Rep. Ritchie Torres has been highly critical of Gov. Hochul recently.
Rep. Ritchie Torres, D-N.Y., on Tuesday called on state and federal inspectors general to investigate Gov. Kathy Hochul over what he described as a “multi-billion dollar boondoggle.”
“The pre-selection of PPL was the worst kept secret in Albany, and the bidding process that arose afterwards has since been exposed as a dog-and-pony show with a predetermined outcome,” the letter reads. “The designation of PPL as the sole FI appears to be the fruit of a poisonous tree—the product of a Potemkin procurement process. The Hochul Administration appears to have rigged the process in more ways than one.
Sam Spokony, a spokesperson for Gov. Hochul, fired back at Rep. Torres in a statement to The National News Desk.
