MONTGOMERY, Ala. - After sending out a storm survey crew, the National Weather Service confirmed EF-2 tornado damage from the storms that moved through on May 10 in southwest Butler County.
According to a report by the NWS, a tornado started west of Highway 83 in Conecuh County, approximately one mile southwest of Midway, at EF-1 intensity. The tornado moved east across Mixonville Road just south of the community of Mixonville, uprooting and snapping trees along the way. The tornado continued east and peaked in intensity at an estimated EF-2 strength, which is 115 mph, as it crossed into Butler County.

EF-1...The report stated that a manufactured home was rolled near the intersection of State Highway 106 and I-65 and trees were down in several neighborhoods in the community of Georgiana before it likely lifted as the circulation dissipated just east of the town.
