The Texas Pecan company said that no allergic reactions or illnesses have been reported.
A nut recall was issued this week alongside warnings of a possible 'life-threatening' allergic reaction.On Wednesday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration shared a recall announcement from the Texas Pecan company, based in Dallas.'Texas Pecan of Dallas TX is recalling 1 Lb and 8 oz products because it may contain an undeclared allergen,' the announcement said.
Officials with the agency inspected packaging for the different recall products and 'decided that cross contamination was possible as our labels do states tree nut but each tree nut was not named individually.''Our packaging machine is cleaned properly however our written documentation did not clearly state that,' the company said.
