“We deal with violence in this unit,” the 52-year-old San Bernardino resident said. “We have patients who are a danger to themselves and others. We want enough staffing so we can give patients the care they deserve.”In a statement issued Thursday, a spokesperson at the San Bernardino facility said hospitals across the country have seen a rise in violence.
“To address this challenge, we have partnered with nursing and trade schools across the state to grow and diversify our workforce,” management said.
