National Nurses Week is an annual celebration that runs from May 6th to May 12th, celebrating healthcare professionals in the U.S.WASHINGTON — National Nurses Week is underway and a number of national businesses are offering discounts and freebies for the men and women who play such an important role in healthcare.In 1982, President Ronald Reagan signed a congressional resolution and proclamation making May 6 a national recognition day for nurses.
Nurses can get a free personal pizza every day from Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 10, with a valid ID. Nurses can get a free cookie or drink with the purchase of an entrée by showing their ID Monday, May 6, through Sunday, May 12. Nurses will get a 10% discount on all shoes during May on the Skechers website with a valid ID. Non-healthcare online shoppers will have the purchase to round up their purchases, with the proceeds going to the American nurses Foundation.
