A nursery nurse has received public thanks after she stepped in and bought a man’s shopping when he left his wallet at home.

Mr Bakowski was so touched by the gesture, he wrote in to Leicestershire Live to thank her. He had been buying shopping for both himself and his parents, which came to ‘well over £100’. Mr Bakowski also thanked Sainsbury’s staff for ‘keeping calm and carrying on’ and added that Ms Frost’s actions had shown ‘how wonderful people can be when the chips are down.’
