Dublin police officers responded to a series of vehicle break-ins that happened early Friday morning at three separate locations in Dublin.
Embassy Suites Mooney Parking GarageThe hotels are packed this weekend ahead of the city's popular Irish Festival that started Friday.
I was sitting having breakfast, looking out the window, and saw many cars with broken windows and glass on the ground. And I said, 'honey I'm going out to check our car,' and sure enough, our car had broken glass as well," said Thomas Daniels, who traveled from Georgia to come to the Irish Festival.Police say that there are four suspects in this case, but that no arrests have been made.
Columbus police have stated they will provide extra police coverage for the festival and hotel parking lots for the rest of the weekend, even though they say car break-ins with people looking for firearms is a recent trend in all of central Ohio. Even with the bad start to the weekend, Daniels says it won't prevent him from enjoying the festival.
"We're going to enjoy the festival, even though we had an incident. And we really enjoy the Dublin area," Daniels said.
