The UK's financial regulator says 10.9 million adults are struggling to pay debts and bills.
The number of people struggling to pay their bills and debts has risen by nearly 40%, the UK's financial regulator has said.
The rising cost of living has been biting into household budgets for months, with energy, food and fuel prices putting pressure on personal finances. The team also saw signs that some people had reduced or cancelled their insurance policies as a way of easing the pressure on their budgets. The FCA said its survey suggested around half of UK adults felt more anxious or stressed due to the rising cost of living in January than they did six months earlier.
