The Nuggets, 24-13, remained atop the West after faltering Monday night, while the Timberwolves, in the wake of a players-only meeting, snapped a six-game losing streak. “This has happened to us a few times this year, a team with players out and we do not seize the opportunity,” Malone said. “… If this is how we’re gonna play on the second night of back-to-backs, we’re in trouble.”
