PETALING JAYA: The police and Rela personnel have been authorised under the law to ensure the public follows the directives under the movement control order, says the National Security Council (NSC).
It said that the police and Malaysian Volunteer Corps are authorised under Section 3 of Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act .
Among them are mechanics who can continue to operate at a minimal level, while towing services are also allowed, the NSC said in a statement issued under the Prime Minister's Office. Under banking and financial services, ATMs and online services will operate as usual and counters will operate at a minimal level.For hospitals, no visits to patients are allowed except for very critical cases.Repairs and maintenance works for sewerage, solid waste management, waterworks, telecommunications, and electricity and energy can continue as usual.
