Police arrested a New People’s Army (NPA) leader for murder on Sunday morning, Feb. 19, in General Nakar town in Quezon province.
Police arrested a New People’s Army leader for murder on Sunday morning, Feb. 19, in General Nakar town in Quezon province.
The suspect was identified as Christopher Avellano, 24, a resident of Sitio Pinamaypayan, Barangay Umiray, General Nakar. Avellano was the squad leader of Platoon 2 and platoon leader of Larangan Yunit Girilya , Guerilla Front -Narciso, Sub-Regional Military Area 4-A of the Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee .
Police said the suspect was the most wanted person on the regional Level of the Police Regional Office 4-A . Avellano was arrested on a warrant issued by Judge Marylou P. Meneses, acting Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 65 in Infanta, Quezon on Sept. 2, 2021.
