PUTRAJAYA: Non-performing and lazy civil servants will not be rewarded under the revamped Public Service Remuneration System next year, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim .
He said this was part of the reforms within the civil service which will be done in tandem when the new remuneration scheme is implemented.He said that this was among the matters raised when discussing ways to improve the salary structure of civil servants through the SSPA. “If we want to assess performance, we cannot assume that it must be based on a person's seniority or experience," he added.
