Now that G.I. Joe is set to be rebooted into an all-new continuity, it's time to bring back the franchise's version of Captain America!
While the heroes of G.I. Joe might be “Real American Heroes,” they traditionally don’t have any superheroes like Captain America on the team… or do they? One forgotten Joe just might be the team’s version of Cap, to the point where the two even share a similar origin story. And now that the G.I. Joe franchise is being rebooted within the new Energon Universe, it's time to bring this American icon back.

Joe’s Sgt. Savage What makes the Sgt. Savage line of particular interest to comics fans is the involvement of Joe Kubert, the legendary artist of DC Comics’ premiere WWII hero Sgt. Rock. Kubert provided the initial designs for the toys, artwork and comic strips on the backs of blister cards, and he even wrote and drew the mini-comics included with two deluxe figures.
