BREAKING: Easter getaways in doubt after BA cancels 115 flights over Covid surge.
British Airways has cancelled 115 flights to or from Heathrow Airport.
Airports are braced for a bumper few weeks as holidaymakers look forward to the first Easter break without significant travel restrictions in three years. Many schools in England are on holiday this week but, with the Bank Holiday not until April 15, its feared there could be worse to come.because it doesn’t have enough crew members available to work.
The total number of changes includes some flights axed due to last week’s decision by the airline to reduce its schedule until the end of May to boost reliability.Other routes have been suspended for several months because of the pandemic.
