Djokovic has a chance to win his fourth U.S. Open and first since 2018.
Medvedev, the 27-year old Russian, may not have the resume that Djokovic does, but he’s an accomplished player in his own right. His first grand slam title was the 2021 U.S. Open, in which he defeated Djokovic in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.
Djokovic, the 36-year old from Serbia, is currently the No. 2 ranked player in the world. He’s already won the Australian and French Open this year.
