Nova is Marvel’s premier cosmic hero, and a terrific new design for him is the perfect reminder of why he matters. Richard Rider might not have a place in the MCU yet, but in the comics he’s perhaps the most beloved hero in the galaxy.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The costume streamlines the essence of Nova’s most recognizable design. His helmet is unmodified, while his black and gold uniform is replaced with a relatively minimalist black jacket with gold accents on the end of the sleeves and on his epaulets; the later another modified holdover from his superhero uniform. He also keeps the three glowing circles on his chest from the uniform, going bare-chested under the circles and jacket.
Nova Is an Iconic Hero Who Needs the Spotlight The Nova Corps themselves were introduced in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy, but their most famous member was nowhere to be seen. Rumors have repeated that either Richard or Sam Alexander's Nova will soon join the movie universe, with the most recent reports suggesting it will be in a TV show rather than a movie.
