Poundland is converting a number of former Wilko branches
A Nottinghamshire Wilko store is set to re-open as a Poundland, it has been confirmed. A total of 10 former Wilkos will re-open on Saturday, October 7, as they are re-branded as the budget shopping chain.
Poundland’s managing director Austin Cooke said: “Our people make Poundland special and last week they did an amazing job to turn ex-Wilko stores into brand new Poundlands in just six days – the size and scale of what they’ve achieved has been nothing short of phenomenal. Other Poundlands replacing Wilko opening October 7 across the country include new branches in Melton Mowbray, Matlock and Brigg.
