It is the only East Midlands inclusion on the list
A Nottinghamshire town is the only one in the East Midlands to make it onto a list of the "most desirable" places to live in the UK. West Bridgford has a fantastic reputation among Nottingham locals from across the River Trent, so it'll be no surprise to many that it has caught the eye of estate agent, Savills, which was commissioned by The Telegraph to compile a list of Britain's 50 most affluent towns.
The Telegraph paints West Bridgford in a positive light and it is the cheapest area to buy a house in the top 20 - by a fair margin. The average house price in June was £409,000 in West Bridgeford half the price of houses in Harpenden, Hartfordshire - topping the list - which has an average price of £913,000.
The team at local agents, Royston Lund, added: "With a host of bars, restaurants, coffee shops and delis, this is one of the most popular, family-friendly areas in Nottingham to live." Not only has it attracted the gaze of those down south, the town was also voted as the best place to live in the county by Nottinghamshire Live readers back in 2023.
