A new interactive map has revealed the worst-rated schools
in Nottinghamshire and the rest of the country. In the last two years, inspectors from education watchdog Ofsted have flagged 295 schools in England as being inadequate.
While Ofsted inspectors may not yet have revisited schools since the last ratings, individual establishments may be taking measures to improve their standards as required by the watchdog. Ministers want 90% of 11-year olds to meet expected standards in reading, writing and maths by 2030 - up from 53% seven years ago.But research by the Centre for Social Justice found some 275,000 11-year-olds a year moved on to secondary education without command of basic subjects last year.
